1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device (phone, tablet or computer) when you visit it. They let the website remember information between pages or visits — for example, that you have started a booking, or which cookie choice you made.
Similar technologies work in the same way, such as browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) and small pieces of code that send information to analytics services. In this policy, "cookies" covers all of these.
Cookies can be:
- First-party — set by kcgtours.gr, or third-party — set by another service used on our website;
- Session cookies — deleted when you close your browser, or persistent cookies — kept for a set period.
2. Why We Use Cookies
- To make the website and booking work — for example, to keep your place in the booking calendar and checkout, and to remember your cookie choice.
- To understand how visitors use our website (only with your consent) — which pages and tours are viewed, and how visitors move through the booking steps, so we can improve the website.
- To measure our advertising (only with your consent) — to know whether a visit from one of our Google ads led to a booking.
We do not use cookies to sell your data, and we do not use social media tracking pixels (such as the Meta/Facebook Pixel or TikTok Pixel).

Google Analytics records information such as the pages you view, the tours you look at, booking steps, your approximate location, and your device and browser. We keep Google Analytics data for 14 months.

These cookies are only set once our Google Ads conversion measurement is active, and only if you accept marketing cookies.
4.4 Without cookies
- Vercel Web Analytics — counts page views anonymously and does not use cookies or identify you.
- Error monitoring (Sentry) — if a technical error occurs on a page, information about the error, your browser and your IP address is sent to Sentry (EU) so we can fix it. It does not use cookies.
- Fonts are served from our own server, so no data is sent to a font provider.
- Tour view counter — counts how many times each tour page is viewed. It stores no personal data and no cookies.
5. The Bokun Booking Calendar
The booking calendar on our tour pages and its checkout are provided by Bokun, our booking platform. Because you need them to book a tour, they are treated as strictly necessary.
To provide its service, the Bokun calendar loads, from its own systems, additional services such as Google Maps (pickup points), Mixpanel and Amplitude (product analytics) and New Relic (performance monitoring). These are controlled by Bokun, not by us, and are described in Bokun's privacy policy.
6. How We Ask for Your Consent
- On your first visit we show a cookie banner with three equal choices: Accept all, Reject all and Settings (choose by category).
- Until you accept, no analytics or marketing cookies are set, and Google Analytics and Google Ads do not run. We use Google Consent Mode to pass your choice to Google's tags.
- Your choice is stored for 12 months. After that, or if we change the categories we use, we ask you again.
7. How to Change Your Choice or Manage Cookies
7.1 On our website
Click "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page to change or withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent stops future use; it does not affect use before you withdrew it.

8. Impact of Disabling Cookies
- Strictly necessary cookies: if you block them in your browser, the booking calendar and checkout may not work, and you will not be able to book online. You can still book by email, phone or at our office.
- Analytics and marketing cookies: rejecting them has no effect on your use of the website or on booking.
9. Updates to This Cookie Policy
We update this policy when we change the cookies we use, and publish the new version on this page with a new "Last updated" date. If we add a new category of cookies, we ask for your consent again.
